We understand that choosing a memorial is a deeply personal decision, and you may have questions along the way. This page brings together answers to the most common queries about our products, materials, and process. What types of memorials do you make?
We can make most items out of wood. We will accommodate whether you are looking for something to remind you of a loved one or pet. Whether you are looking for a memorial for a grave, somewhere else outside, or indoor items, we can help with any of these.
What woods do you use, and why?
For outdoors, we recommend Oak and Iroko.
Oak is strong and durable and has natural resistance to water and decay.
Iroko has a similar look to teak. It has natural oils that provide excellent resistance to fungal attacks, decay, insect damage and rot. It is a strong timber and can withstand wear and tear from the elements.
If you would prefer softwood, we recommend Douglas Fir. It is strong and durable. It has a good strength to weight ratio and an attractive material.
For indoors, we can use other timbers such as beech and ash to match with your decor. We can also use the Oak, Iroko and Douglas fir.
How durable are outdoor wooden memorials?
Wooden memorials can last many years outdoors if cared for properly. I use quality hardwoods and protective finishes to help them withstand the elements. We use Osmo® UV Protective oil which protects against UV damage, mould, algae and fungal attack. I can supply a care kit with some Osmo® oil and a brush to maintain your memorial annually. For all orders over £500 this is included in the price.
How do I care for and maintain a wooden memorial?
A simple re-oiling every year or two is usually enough to keep your memorial looking its best. I’ll provide clear care instructions with every order. I can supply a care kit with some osmo oil and a brush to maintain your memorial.
What is the returns policy?
As all items are personalised, returns cannot be accepted. However, if your order arrives damaged or you experience any issues with the product, please get in touch and I’ll be happy to help.
How are products shipped?
If you are based in Norwich, we can deliver directly to your home or burial ground. All other items are sent via courier using minimal eco packaging whilst ensuring the item arrives in perfect condition.
Can I alter all products?
Our standard online range can be tailored to your preferences. If you’d like to adjust the size, change the wood type, or include different motifs, please get in touch. We’ll confirm any price difference and create a custom listing for you to order easily through our website.
